Ways to Feel Like a Princess (Without Marrying a Prince)

Prince William and Kate MiddletonOnly a few more days until the wedding of the century. Don’t know about you, but we used to hang pictures up of Prince William and dream of what it would be like to marry him one day. We weren’t necessarily in love with him (OK, he was definitely crush-worthy with his schoolboy sexiness), but we were more intrigued with the idea of being freakin’ royalty. Imagine: ladies in waiting, all the jewels a girl could want, and a wardrobe you could really have fun with.

Kate Middleton is a lucky girl, but who’s to say she’s the only one who gets to feel like a princess these days? She may have gotten the prince (who may or may not be balding… just saying!), but we can still enjoy life as much as she does.

  • Splurge - Buy one item that makes you feel spoiled rotten. Whether it’s a Balenciaga bag, flatscreen TV, or even just a really pretty tea cup that you can enjoy every day, invest in something that will make you feel special.
  • Pamper - Get a blow-out right before a nerve-wracking first date, have a massage when you’ve had a tough week, stop in for a mani-pedi when you can’t find the time to paint your nails yourself. These little things aren’t necessary, but they’ll make you feel like a million bucks when you do them.
  • Get help – A princess has a hundred people at hand to make her life easier. Sometimes it’s easy to fall into a habit of doing everything yourself, but don’t forget that you don’t always have to be on your own. Every once in a while, use a maid service so you don’t have to clean, order yummy take-out so you don’t have to cook, and at the very least get your boyfriend to carry your groceries to your car.

Did we miss anything? What makes you feel like a princess? Tell us in a comment below.
