Get Groovin’ with Our 80s Workout Playlist

80s playlistIf you’re a 20-something, that means you were born in (or close to) the great 80s. So grab your neon headband and leg warmers and honor the hits of your decade with this month’s playlist:

1. “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” by Cyndi Lauper

2. “Bust a Move” by Young MC

3. “Faith” by George Michael

4. “We Built This City” by Jefferson Starship

5. “Love Shack” by B-52s

6. “Jessie’s Girl” by Rick Springfield

7. “I Love Rock n Roll” by Joan Jett

8. “Material Girl” by Madonna

9. “Sweet Dreams” by Eurythmics

10. “Don’t You Want Me” by Human League

Use this playlist to enhance your workout:

September’s playlist is perfect for running or cycling, switching between quicker and slower beats.  Song 1 starts you off with a warm up. By song 2 you’ll need to pick up your pace. From there on out, every other song goes from quick to slow. For the quicker beats, pick up your pace, then use the next song as a bit of a recovery zone before speeding up again. By the time you hit song 10 you’ll be good and ready for that cool down.

Love this! A few months back my yoga instructor led an 80’s-themed class, and it was so much fun. It completely pumped me up! Nothing like a good 80s playlist to get your butt in gear.
